Advertising Agency

Advertising agency
The responsibility of an advertising agency is to plan, design, and/or carry out an effective ad campaign. An Internet advertising agency has a similar role as does a regular ad agency. The main purpose of creating an advertising campaign is to make known a particular product, service, company, organization, or individual.

Some advertising agencies provide full marketing services-both online and offline. These types of agencies are located in nearly every state of the U.S., such as in Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, Illinois; Palmdale, Ca; and other places.

Other types of advertising agencies only provide a certain type of advertisement. For instance, radio and television stations usually would not provide newspaper advertisements (obvious example).

Another less noticeable example is the fact that some website promotion companies will usually only provide article writing as a form of promotion, but they do not provide any other technical aspect of Search Engine Optimization, such as keyword research tools for effective Pay Per Click Advertising.

The Role of Most Internet Ad Agencies
One of the major roles of most Internet agencies is to plan effective marketing strategies. Usually this will entail the implementation of a variety of different website advertising techniques.

For instance, companies may decide to purchase image ad space on search engine pages. This is usually done on either a bid per click basis or for a fixed rate. Similar type of ad space can be purchased on individual websites, such as About.com (usually automatically generated).

Sometimes an internet advertising agency will also launch e-mail marketing campaigns. Some company’s e-mail lists are in the hundreds, thousands, and millions and some ad companies have all the necessary tools to design the right kind of e-mail newsletter head for this type of project.

Some Web advertising agencies may spend time designing an entire website. In fact, you may even find that an ad agency will be able to perform a full line of services to site owners.

Some of these would include page design, keyword optimization, meta and title tag description, and sales promotions. Examples of sales promotions that an ad agency would set up could include a free gift or a percentage off of every online purchase (or first online purchase in some cases) versus in-store purchase.

An advertising agency plays quite a few different roles-sometimes so many that not all can be included in this short article. It is up to each webmaster and business owner to research all the different options available to them through ad agencies.

Some of them may even provide public relations services such as creating press kits or press releases of new products or services. However, public relations services are thought of as different means of promotion than regular print or media advertising.
